Untitled Story I'm Writing

" It takes a lot of understanding, time and trust to gain a close friendship with someone. As I approached a time of my life of complete uncertainty, my friends are my most precious asset." -Erynn Miller

I liked him.
I really, really liked him.
He scared me because he was brilliant.
But in the end, I realized that I was more afraid of myself than of him.
I felt deeply uncomfortable to have such a romantic spirit by my side.
He was just a boy.
But really a man.
Listening to him speak, I sensed a deep sadness inside him, but couldn't understand it, yet.
Looking back, I think the sadness stemmed from being a person who didn't exactly fit into the "normal life plan".
That's all for now.

Letters from a Small town,
